The Borealis Bullseyes is an Anchorage youth shooting sports club offering youth development opportunities through competitive rifle and pistol shooting disciplines. The club is affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program, the National Rifle Association, USA Shooting and the American Legion; organizations that sponsor state and national championship matches for Junior Olympic athletes. Shooting is done in the East High School rifle range with precision or sporter class, .177 cal. air guns at paper and electronic targets. Many shooters in the club have their own gear and have competed on one of the local high school teams. The club has sporter and precision class equipment and offers basic marksmanship and advanced practice sessions. Membership is open to youth age 9 to 20. An annual membership fee of $150.00 is due October 1. Most of our activity happens January through July, after the Anchorage School District rifle season. The shooters will participate in several postal matches while preparing for state and national championships.
